Flyin’ High Wakeboard & Ski School, based on the picturesque Williams River, 45 minutes north west of Newcastle, 30 minutes from Newcastle Airport; has been owned and operated by Mick Godfrey, Level 2 Accredited Australian Sports Commission Coach, for the last 10 years.
Flyin’ High Wakeboard & Ski School caters for families who have only ever skied all their life and a looking at trying something different, beginners who have never strapped a wakeboard or ski on, the group of mates looking to learn that next invert or glide or the serious competitor trying to perfect their next winning trick pass.
Flyin’ High Wakeboard & Ski School also caters for Corporate Events, Birthday Parties, Doe and Buck Shows. Flyin’ High can tailor a package to suit everyone. Utilising state of the art equipment supplied by ProWake such as a Tige’ boat, Liquid Force demo boards, RipCurl vests & suits, you can be sure to push your ride to the ‘next notch’.

Season Specials
The Beginner Package
3 lessons a season for beginners to intermediate – For the average person who doesn’t have the chance to ride very often 3 lessons a season will ensure that those moments that you are riding behind the boat will be in the most enjoyable as you will eliminate those hard falls by knowing the technique you are working towards. 3 lessons per season will make sure you don’t slip into bad habits, which is the most regressive problem you will face when learning. $260 That's $25 off!!!
The Intermediate Rider
5 lessons a season for intermediate to advanced. This will give you time between each lesson to perfect each drill behind your own boat. The bad habits won’t come anywhere near your bag of tricks and each time you get behind the boat it will be all about taking steps forward. Most of our regulars who average 3 weekends a month of wakeboarding over summer, have this amount of lessons per season. $300 That's $150 off!!!
The Advanced Rider
20 lessons a season for those who want to advance quickly – 20 lessons in a season will ensure that you are riding in the most progressive and rewarding manner. This is designed to have you riding out of your comfort zone and to push your riding to a place that you never thought you would be possible. The winner? You and your new bag of cool tricks!!! $1500 That's $400 off!!!

Arriving into Newcastle
The best way to get to Newcastle is to fly directly into Newcastle airport. Flights come in and out of Newy daily to and from all destinations across Australia and abroad. You may want to consider using a service like WebJet to find the cheapest fare and book your tickets. Sydney is only an hour and a half south of Newcastle so you may want to consider flying to Sydney and hiring a car to make a road trip adventure!
Car Hire
There are plenty of car hire options available from inside the terminal at the airport. Check if your airline is affiliated with any car hire companies as this may save you a quid.

138 King Street, Clarence Town is the meeting place for all lessons.
Getting there from Newcastle
Take the Pacific Highway to Raymond Terrace, left at McDonalds Raymond Terrace and travel 28kms to Clarence Town. Travel through town down to the end of the main, vere right onto Queen street and take 3rd right into Durham Street and proceed to last gate near river bank, signposted Flyin’ High Ski School.
Getting there from Sydney
Take the F3 Freeway to the very end and then take the Pacific Highway to Raymond Terrace and follow the above directions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only teach certain levels of riding? Or can you teach anyone?
Answer: We can get anyone of any age out on the water and up on their wakeboard in no time. We are constantly teaching newcomers who have never even seen a wakeboard before! We also teach intermediate riders and even the pro riders too!
Do I need to bring my own gear?
Answer: Bringing your own gear will ensure the most amount of improvement as you will not have to become used to another board setup. However if this isn’t possible we have all the latest gearon offer from the leading brands on the market: Ronix Wakeboards, RipCurl, Tige Boats, ProWake and Hardline.
Can mum and dad come in the boat and watch?
Answer: Absolutely!!! We want your experience on the water to be comfortable and one to remember. Who better to experience this with you then your Mum or Dad!! Besides they can help you with all the tips that you learn on the day, next time you’re out on the water.
Will the wake be too big for me if I am just learning?
Answer: With the help of Tige’s Taps 2 and ballast system the wake is fully adjustable to suit your level of riding. If you need a small wake to ride switch or need the wake to be large for your first back roll, the wake can be customized within 3 minutes!!!
